Tell us a little about yourself and what you do every day
Hi, and first of all, I’d like to thank you for allowing me to join. My name is Gün, I am 34 years old and I live in Østerbro in Copenhagen. On a daily basis, I work in digital marketing, both as a consultant and a teacher. Additionally, I own and manage a little start-up called Creatrix.
I enjoy being active, so in my spare time, I play padel tennis and go to Krav Maga. On the weekends, I either go walking and running in Fælledparken or go hiking in the nature areas around Copenhagen. I also like Gribskov, which is one of Denmark's largest forests and which to a large extent is actually allowed to take care of itself. It is probably the closest we get to wild nature in Zealand. Also, a few hours' drive away is Møn, which is quite unique in its relation to nature.
When I’m not playing or walking, I like to travel. I'm usually out of town up to 8 or 10 times a year. Fortunately for me, I can take my work along with me wherever I go. All I have to do is ensure that the places I travel to have stable internet connections so that I can get a bit of work done on the go.
What type of trips do you like?
My travel life consists of very different trips. While most of them are short detours to cities in Europe that are rich in historical or cultural experiences, others are to the southern countries, such as Malaga, where there are good opportunities to play padel tennis. Occasionally, I visit Athens as well, because my sister lives there.
Do you have any special memories that you would like to share?
Haha! Yes, I’ve got a few of those.
My roots are Turkish, so Turkey has a special place in my heart. Istanbul is a city with a lot of ambiance, and I cherish all the memories I have made there. I also often dream back to my time in Kyoto, Japan. Kyoto is a place where you can be away from the noise of the outside world and really find some peace and quiet.
A more recent trip was last summer when I and some friends rented a camper. Originally, we planned to drive to Norway, walk around the Lysefjord, and climb Preikestolen and Kjerag, among other things. However, due to entry restrictions, we had to change our plans. Instead, we drove down through Germany and enjoyed ourselves for 14 days in Switzerland and Italy.
What do you like about Fat Moose?
I believe that comfort and quality are very important considerations when choosing clothes, and Fat Moose offers both of these qualities. Their clothes are made in breathable and lush materials that sit nicely on the body and keep one warm or cool, despite the weather.
Many brands out there are a bit "form over content", and the prices that they charge are based more on the brand value rather than the qualities of their clothes. I refuse to stand for that. With Fat Moose, I do not feel that I am paying for the label, but for the clothes themselves.
Exciting! Finally, what other destination is high on your list?
There is this part! I would love to revisit Asia soon; maybe Vietnam or India. For the fall, I would be going to Nicaragua with a good friend of mine. There, we'll be working for a few weeks at a surfing spot. I've never been to Central or South America, so I’m really looking forward to it, and I know it's going to be a great experience.
